We're a husband (Phil) and wife (Karen) team with nearly 80 years combined coding/IT consulting experience. In 1988, we started Computer Gallery, Milwaukee's first business concentrating on custom PCs and servers. Over the following thirty years, we built tens of thousands of computers for clients around the world. Nowadays, we focus primarily on services.

Computer repair

The list below is by no means exhaustive, it merely represents the more routine sorts of work we do. Please feel free to call (414/963-6336) to share your specific needs.

• Computer repairs & upgrades. We've been upgrading and repairing computers for Milwaukee-area users for decades. And not just Windows machines, we're familiar with and comfortable working on Apple and all forms of "ix" (Linux, SCO, etc.). Estimates are free, and we're happy to discuss your needs via phone (414/963-6336).
• New computers. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to repair or upgrade an existing computer. We can assist with selecting a new machine (yes, we have our favorites). We will migrate everything from your old to your new computer, preserving all your applications, files, settings, etc.
• Virus removal. For $99 we will remove viruses and any malware, and make sure you have working antivirus software.
• Technical support. Whether you're trying to install some new device (or software) or just getting unexpected error messages, our remote support tools will allow us to "see" your screen and apply the right fix.

Business IT services

We offer a suite of business-class IT services at à la carte pricing (so no outrageous monthly fees based on your number of devices or employees, you only pay for what you need/use).

• Critical Server/PC health monitoring. Learn of impending hardware issues before they become disasters.
• Backup watch. This is the age of encryption viruses, so perhaps the most important job of any network administrator is seeing to it that backups are working. Large organizations employ backup administrators, their only task to see to it that backups are fully operational. Smaller organizations can't afford such a luxury, but they can afford to deploy our backup monitoring service. Our proprietary software allows us to be your backup administrator for a tiny fraction of the cost of a dedicated staffer.
• Update tracking. It seems so simple, but so many organizations are wildly out-of-date on critical updates.
• Best-in-class antivirus protection. We centrally manage this first- and last-line of defense, because an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
• Helpdesk. One number (414/963-6336) for your staff to call with all IT issues.
• Website development. Whether you've been ghosted by your web guy (surprisingly common), or need a new site (one that you can modify yourself), we can help. 414/963-6336.

Computer recycling

Disposing of old computers and peripherals in landfills is prohibited. Allow us to destroy your data and responsibly recycle your old gear. There is no charge for this service.

Data recovery

Without a doubt, we're Milwaukee's Most Experienced Data Recovery Experts. We recover data from Windows, Apple, and many "ix" (Linux, Unix, FreeBSD) devices.

These data recoveries are performed at our location. We do not ship your drive to another company and then collect a commission for the work. We do all the work here using techniques and software we've been developing since 1988.

And unlike our competitors, these are not limited to "logical recoveries," where the only problem is corruption (anyone can do those). We routinely fix low-level hardware issues that leave the others stumped. Have a drive that won't spin-up, or clicks madly? That is right in our wheelhouse.

The prices below are for successful recoveries. If we cannot recover your data, there is no fee.
